Kerry Hotels Restructures with a New Parent Company, Crescent Heights Development(CHD).
Kerry Hotels restructures with a new parent company, Crescent Heights Development(CHD). This umbrella company will allow for growth and diversification of travel-related products and services. With Kerry Hotels (representing hotels and services that are a bit left of center) already well established, they recognized the need for a luxury brand as well as a more traditional brand.
Los Angeles, CA December 6, 2004 - Kerry Hotels, Inc., always on the cutting edge of the hotel and travel industry, has become a recognized brand among travel agents and hoteliers in the United States and Europe. In order to keep up with the pace and desires of the industry, this innovative company has formed a new parent company, Crescent Heights Development (CHD), and launched two new collections. Each collection, including Kerry Hotels will be a division of the parent company, CHD.
This umbrella company will allow for growth and diversification of travel-related products and services. With Kerry Hotels (representing hotels and services that are a bit left of center) already well established, they recognized the need for a luxury brand as well as a more traditional brand. In the summer of 2004, The Circle Collection was formed, representing luxury hotels and services (http://www.thecirclecollection.com). Beginning January 1, 2005, Kerry Flowers, founder and owner, will roll out the Capstone Collection, representing 3-4 star traditional hotels and services. This company will be more conservative than Kerry Hotels in its marketing approach, competing directly with SRS, and Preferred Hotels. The Capstone Collection will appeal more to general managers and owners with hotels that are traditional or conservative in dr and management style, as well as the demographic of their client base.
Ruth McCartney, Founder and CEO of McCartney Multimedia, based in Playa del Rey, California, was a featured speaker at the recent Kerry Hotels owners and general managers meeting held in Los Angeles in October. Together, Flowers and McCartney unveiled the plans for the new umbrella organization and its structure with the three hotel and travel service divisions. McCartney said, We are thrilled to develop this relationship with Kerry Flowers and his Crescent Heights Development team as we feel there is unlimited synergy between our companies and the tools we can co-develop and bring to existing and future Kerry, Circle, and Capstone clients. This annual meeting, coined Hospitality of The Throne, brings together hoteliers and travel-related companies that have made Kerry Hotels what it is today, along with featured industry speakers. The meetings have set the pace for the direction of following years.
Crescent Heights Development, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney and Mexico City, markets 53 hotels and travel-related services. The company also provides a hotel electronic reservation and distribution platform on its private label GDS chain code, KH. In addition, CHD provides yield-management advice, general hotel consulting, annual corporate RFPs on the members behalf, direct travel agent and corporate sales, direct mail and e-mail campaigns, and public relations.
Kerry Hotels, now a division of CHD, was established 12 years ago with the firm belief that business should not be boring. Hip and cool, chic boutique, luxury and fun, Kerry Hotels is a valuable resource for the industrys needs and consumers desires. The Circle Collection represents deluxe hotels and services that want to take advantage of CHDs sales and marketing expertise. The Capstone Collection represents traditional hotels with attention to detail and a level of service and comfort for the most discerning travelers with 3 and 4 star hotels.
